Some Arminians believe that Christians can lose their salvation after being saved. Almost every Five Point Arminians do not know that they are really saying that you can "lose your salvation" if you do not perform enough works. While I do not believe that it is true, I do believe that you can lose the joy of being saved when you do not perform enough works. - Joseph Y. Lee
1. A) "And I shall give them one heart, and shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. Then they will be My people, and I SHALL BE THEIR GOD." Ezekiel 11:19-20
B) "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were SEALED for the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30
C) "There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1
D) "Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that CANNOT BE SHAKEN, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe." Hebrews 12:28
E) "To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and KEPT for Jesus Christ." Jude 1
F) "Now to him who is able to KEEP YOU FROM FALLING and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 24,25
G) "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can STAND UP under it." 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
(Capitalized words are mine). These verses says that God will not let Satan tempt you beyond what you can handle. Thus, you will always be a Christian. But most of all, God promised us that we will never lose our faith. - Joseph Y. Lee
2. A) "And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me." Jeremiah 32:40
B) "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them." Psalms 34:7
C) "...To his own master he stands or falls; and stand he will, for the Lord is able to make him stand." Romans 14:4
D) "we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; ... knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you." 2 Corinthians 4:8,9,14
This reassures every struggling Christian, including myself, that even though he may lose his confidence in his salvation, he will regain assurance of faith by God's promise. Fear is an important mark of a believer that he is saved. - Joseph Y. Lee
3. A) "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8,9 NIV
B) "he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy...," Titus 3:5 NIV
C) "Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law...since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one." Romans 3:27,28, and 30 NASB
D) "For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace." Romans 6:14
E) "because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:2 NIV
These verses are saying that works alone will not save you but that you are saved by grace through your faith. Five Point Arminians are implying that we need to perform works in order to be saved. They do not know they are really saying that doing more works is needed to keep faith or salvation, which contradicts the above Calvinist-Bible verses. - Joseph Y. Lee
4. A) "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ." Philippians 1:6
B) "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands." Psalm 138:8 NJKV

D) "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:2-3
After Christ chooses you, Christ will perfect your faith. It is not your faith which will perfect your relationship with God. It is Jesus Christ. - Joseph Y. Lee
5. A) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV
B) "that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." John 3:15 NIV
C) "I [Jesus] tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24 NIV
D) "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I [Jesus] will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40 NIV

L) "for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." Romans 11:29
If you believe in Jesus at the present time, you have eternal life, and God will not take your salvation away. Five Point Arminians say that the Greek word for "believe" is mistranslated and that it means "continue to believe." However, if we permit the Arminians to paraphrase John 6:51, Jesus never said, "... if anyone does not [continue to] eat of this bread, he not shall live forever...," and the paraphrase is not equivalent to the literal interpretation of John 6:51. Also, eternal life is not temporal life. If you have something eternal, then you have eternal life NOW and FOREVER. - Joseph Y. Lee
6. A) "But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: `Fear not, for I have redeemed you: I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3

C) "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.
These verses are self-explanatory. It clearly spells out that you can not lose your salvation. One Arminian told me that you can lose your salvation by sinning. It is true this verse does not say that sin will not separate us from the love of God. However, please read these following verses. - Joseph Y. Lee
A) "All prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Acts 10:43 NIV
B) "The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen." 2 Timothy 4:18

D) "But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." 2 Thessalonians 3:3
7. A) The saints are compared to the cedars which flourish on Mount Lebanon in Psalms 1:3 which says, "And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its seasons, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers."
B) The saints are also compared to the cedars which flourish on Mount Lebanon in Psalms 92:12 which says, "The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon."
C) "Those who trust in the Lord are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever." Psalms 125:1

F) "For such is God, Our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death." Psalms 48:14
Amen? - Joseph Y. Lee.
