Confusion
1 Corinthians 14:33 - Part 3

by Joseph Yosuk Lee

But fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

The Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, followers of Rev. Sung-Myung Moon, and Muslims would like to include prophecy and speaking in tongues as possible gifts (fruits) of the Holy Spirit. - Joseph Y. Lee

Every word of God is flawless; he is shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. Proverbs 30:5-6

Proverbs is extremely clear that we should not include prophecy or speaking in tongues as gifts (fruits) in Galatians 5:22-23. The Bible did say that we should test the spirits. However, would God take a test? How should we test the spirits? Should we administer the SAT (Spiritual Aptitude Test) for the spirit? If the spirits get 49 out of 50 multiple choice questions right, does this mean that spirits pass the test? - Joseph Y. Lee

And Jesus answered and said to him, "It is said that 'You shall not put the Lord Your God to the test.'" Luke 4:12

If Satan said, 'You shall not put the Lord Your God to the test,' does it mean that the spirits pass the test? - Joseph Y. Lee

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. James 2:19

Satan does know the answer to the test. He can easily score a perfect score on the SAT (Spiritual Aptitude Test). What if I marry a beautiful Korean Christian wife and also go through a divorce, does this mean that voices were from God? What if I win three Nobel Prizes in physics and my Nobel prizes lead to the invention of the anti-matter bomb used as a weapon for the military killing millions of people, does this mean that the voices were from God? - Joseph Y. Lee
